Technology
Philosophy
Technology is a powerful tool that can help students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Baltimore Lab is committed to integrating the latest in technological resources throughout our program to support this development.
Technology Education
Technology education is integrated throughout the curriculum in all grades. Upper School students must take a technology class to fulfill requirements for graduation.
Assistive Technology/Software
Programs such as Kurzweil 3000 and Inspiration are used to support the curriculum and to provide the necessary accommodations for our students. Additional software to support mathematics, science and social studies are also accessible in classrooms and computer labs.
Media Center
The school library has recently been updated to serve as a multi-purpose media center to provide students with advanced tools for research, reading and writing. Teachers also use the media center for presenting lessons using the latest software and assistive technology.
Website
In addition to providing the latest in school news and information, the Baltimore Lab School website also allows students to view teacher pages and see their homework assignments and any other important class news.
