Highlighting Lab's Newest Alums - Esteban Alfred '23
As a Senior, Esteban Alfred represented Lab at the Parents’ Council of Washington’s Student Leader Breakfast. His leadership and collaborative nature easily coincided with his competitive streak –fighting for a Kahoot! win in Spanish or serving as co-captain of our soccer team. Sports is also an avenue through which Esteban examined social issues - - creating a political cartoon critiquing Chelsea Football Club’s oligarch ownership and their relationship to FIFA and the Russian Government or arguing that the greed of major sporting organizations negatively impacts the environment and communities in which events are held. Another field of interest is architecture. Esteban successfully completed a virtual internship with a local firm, and summer courses in Civil Engineering through Stevens Institute of Technology and Discovering Architecture through the University of Maryland. Always a Lab Dragon at heart, Esteban is now a Temple University Owl studying architecture.
