Lab Students Receive Karina Eide Young Writers Awards

Middle School students Liv E. and Alina T. won Top Honors for their poems. Congratulations to all of the writers who were recognized for their work!

Each year the Dyslexic Advantage newsletter takes submissions for the Karina Eide Young Writers Awards. This year saw a record-breaking year for the number of submissions. Despite the fierce competition, several Lab students still managed to be singled out for their creative writing!

Middle School students Ari, Kenan, and Patrick show off their award winning writing.

The students worked on their odes, stories, and poems in their creative writing classes with Amy Young. A Middle School Teacher and Teaching artist, she guided the writers' creative process and helped them submit their work for consideration.

Below is the list of Lab students recognized by Dyslexic Advantage. Top Honors received $100, High Honors Received $50 and Honors Received $25! Congratulations to all of these amazing young writers.
